- The AI Dash Cam 400 contains an SD Card that stores up to 50 hours of video. It is critically important that you retrieve this video before it is overwritten by additional driving and continuous recording.
- If the vehicle's engine cannot run, you will need to physically retrieve the SD Card from the camera to access the desired video footage. Please contact IntelliShift Support for guidance on accessing the SD Card.
Here are the best practices and steps you can take to retrieve the video clip of the an incident you are looking for.
- Determine the probable date and time of the incident using telematics data.

When requesting a video from an Asset that the ignition is currently “Off”, you will now receive a pop-up notification that you will not receive the video until the vehicle ignition is turned back on. We will also automatically notify you via email when the video is available.
Ensure the conditions are met for the video upload to be successful.
It may take several minutes for a video to upload if the vehicle is turned on and has good cell reception. If the vehicle is off, then the video will not upload until the next time the ignition is turned on.
First, let's make sure the vehicle is on with good cell reception.
- Open the Telematics module.
- Go to Map View.
- Click on the vehicle to open the detail card. (You can search for the asset using the "Quick Zoom" menu. Open this menu by clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the top right-hand navigation).
- See the ignition status. If it is set to OFF, then it will need to be turned on for the video to upload.
