Alert Setup
In the following video, learn alert best practices and how to create an alert.
Al Dash Cam Alert Types
The AI Dash Cam alert allows you to monitor for several different AI Dash Cam safety event types.
By selecting an alert type, the system will send an alert when the safety event type is triggered.
- Following Distance Warning, Inattentive Driving, Phone Utilization, and Forward Collision Warning are defined by your company's Camera Configuration settings. See our article regarding camera configuration to learn more.
- The "Panic Alarm" event type is triggered manually by the operator. When the operator pressing the AI Dash Cam 400 button next to the driver-facing lens, this event type is triggered.
Best Practices
- Have a company policy who should set up alerts. You can only manage the alerts you created within your account.
- Who should set up and manage company-wide alerts?
- Who should set up and manage branch-level alerts?
- Who should set up and manage operator or asset level alerts?
- If all assets within a branch should be monitored for the event type, it is best to set up the alert by "Branch." This means that instead of selecting individual assets, you should "Generate alert by" branch instead of by asset.
