Alerts Navigation Overview
The image above displays the last step of creating an Alert. In this view, you can
- Enable web-app notifications (1)
- Checking this box will notify you on screen while logged into Intellishift. If you chose this option you may leave the Selected Recipient box blank.
- Alert assigned operator (2)
- Checking this box will notify the asset's assigned operator by text message. Three conditions must be met in order to alert the operator:
- The asset that triggered the alert must have an assigned operator. Operators can be assigned to assets in several ways: completing a digital inspection, swiping their key fob/ID, or manual assignment within the Telematics service module.
- The operator must have an associated phone number and carrier listed. (Administration > Operators)

Alert Creation
- Please note that only the alert creator can view, modify, and delete the alert. If you have standard alerts that should go out to all branches, it may be best to have these alerts created by a single office administrator account.
Alert Asset/Operator/Branch Selection
- If needing to monitor a full branch for an event, it is best to use the "Generate Alert by" branch tool in the upper right-hand corner during step one. This will ensure that as your branch fluctuates, all assets are accounted for.
Alert Name
- The alert name will display in the subject line of an email. Ensure that your subject line offers clarity to the recipient regarding what the alert contains.
Operator Alerts
- In the last step of alert creation, several reports have the ability to alert the operator by text.
- You must have in-app notifications enabled and/or an assigned alert recipient.
