Viewing the Telematics Module
To view the Telematics service module, select the “Telematics” service module on the left-hand navigation panel.
Accessing Telematics
To view the Telematics module, you must have the "Telematics" Permissions toggle active in your user settings. Only Account Administrators and Administrators can change your permissions.
To allow a user to view the Telematics module, follow these steps:
Choose the correct permissions for the user.

- Activating this toggle will allow access to the Telematics service module.

Landmarks
- Read: View landmarks
- Update: Update existing landmarks
- Full Control: Create new and manage existing landmarks
- Benchmarking: Ability to view the benchmarking feature within the Analytics service module.
- Reporting: Ability to view, manage, and create reports
- Alerts: Ability to view, manage, and create alerts

Geofencing
- Create: View, manage, and create geofences
- Full Control: View, manage, create, and share geofences
- Operator Texting: Ability to send text messages to operators
- Operator Assignment: Ability to pair assets and operators
- Advanced Routing: This toggle is only needed for Garmin customers
- SP QuickView Management: Allows access to the Customer 360 features.
- Mobile Access: Allow user to have access to IntelliShift's mobile application

Telematics Setup Checklist
For setup best practices, please review the checklist below. These are steps in which your Project Manager, Account Manager, and/or Customer Success Team will guide you through.
Telematics Setup
- Ensure you have communicated expectations and goals with your key stakeholders, leaders, and drivers. Key stakeholders should includes a diversity of roles across the organization such as operations, safety, risk, managers, and C-level.
- Provide IntelliShift an accurate list of assets, branches, users, and operators. Our team will guide you through best practices for providing this information. Please note, you can edit this information from within IntellIShift after the initial upload.
- Install hardware. IntelliShift provides many options to suit your needs for hardware installation including pro-installation, self-installation, and hybrid options.

- Ensure your IntelliShift branches are accurate

- Ensure your IntelliShift fleet list is accurate

- Ensure your team has the correct permission toggles to manage the Telematics module.
- Ensure your IntelliShift operators list is accurate
- Administration > Operators
- Ensure you have a system in place to keep operator and asset pairings accurate and up to date. Please speak with your account manager to identify the best way for you to manage asset/operator pairing.

- Automated Digital Inspection Asset/Operator Pairing
