Viewing the Administration Module
To view the Administration service module, select the “Administration” service module on the left-hand navigation panel.
Accessing the Administration Module
To view the Administration module, you must have one of two conditions met:
- You must be assigned the user role "Administrator" or "Account Administrator"
- You must be a assigned the user role "Regular" AND you have view only permissions assigned within the user's "Administration" permissions.
Please note, only Account Administrators and Administrators can change your permissions.

Choose the correct permissions for the user.

User Type (1)
- Account Administrator
- This user type has access to all branches.
- This user type has Administrator access and can view, edit, and add users, operators, branches, and assets.
- Administrator
- This user type has access to limited branches.
- This user type has Administrator access and can view, edit, and add users, operators, branches, and assets.
- Regular
- This user type has access to limited branches.
- This user type can have "View Only" access to assets, operators, users, and branches.
- Account Administrator

- This setting allows tags and company pin management within the Administration service module.

- This setting adds the "Billing & Payments" portal to the Administration service.

"View Only" Access
- If viewing a "Regular" user type, you will also have the ability to grant "View Only" access for assets, operators, users, and branches.

Administration Setup
- User Types:
- Carefully consider your user types and roles. Ask yourself:
- Who will be logging into IntelliShift from my company?
- What are they needing to see and access?
- What should they NOT be able to see nor do?
- How will they measure success in their role?
- We suggested reserving the "Account Administrator" user type to a limited few individuals in your company. By default, Account Administrators have access to all branches.
- Carefully consider your user types and roles. Ask yourself:
- Provide IntelliShift an initial accurate list of assets, branches, users, and operators. Our team will guide you through best practices for providing this information. Please note, you can edit this information from within IntellIShift after the initial upload.
Best Practices
- Ensure your IntelliShift branches are accurate
- Administration > Branches
- Ensure your IntelliShift fleet list is accurate
- Administration > Assets
- Ensure your team has the correct permission toggles to manage the Administration module
- Administration > Users
- Ensure your IntelliShift operators list is accurate
- Administration > Operators
- User Tags to further categorize assets (e.g., Equipment vs. On-Road Vehicles) and operators (e.g., Class A CDL, Class B CDL, Class C CDL).
- Administration > Branches & Tags > Tags
- Ensure you have a system in place to keep operator and asset pairings accurate and up to date. Please speak with your account manager to identify the best way for you to manage asset/operator pairing.

- Manual Assignment
- Automated Digital Inspection Asset/Operator Pairing

- Ensure that you have defined a standard operating procedure for when new employees join or leave the company.
- Ensure that you have a standard operating procedure for when assets retire or are added to the fleet.
