Import Fuel Cards (Bulk Upload) Follow

Overview

IntelliShift's Fuel Card Importer allows users to import fuel cards using a .CSV file.

• Please note: 
  • The fuel cards being imported must not already exist on the IntelliShift platform. In other words, you cannot use the import tool to update current records.
  • An integration with Wex or Comdata may not be needed as IntelliShift's API will assign each transaction based on the purchase metadata. Deciding on if you'd like to import your fuel cards depends on many factors. In general, if you keep updated records in your fuel card provider platform, and include unique asset information such as vin and plate, importing fuel cards may not be as necessary as the fuel card will be "created" and assigned in IntelliShift using metadata (VIN, plate, vehicle name) coming from your fuel card provider.

View Fuel Card Import

To view the Fuel Card Import, follow these steps:

1. In the left-hand navigation, select the "Fuel Manager” service module.
2. In the top navigation, select "Tools."
3. In the dropdown menu select "Import Fuel Cards" if importing fuel cards in bulk

Understanding the Fuel Card Template

First, download the Fuel Card Template.

• To download the template, click "Download Template"

To understand the template, click "Instructions" next to where you downloaded the template. We have also provided additional instruction and detail here. 

Import Fuel Cards

To import fuel cards in bulk, first download the Fuel Card Import Template. Carefully read the instructions located below the import tool, and/or read the directions found within this article. Fill out the template, and follow the steps below.
