By identifying unsupported devices and tracking app versions, administrators can ensure operators have the right technology for a seamless and efficient experience.
With detailed insights into device compatibility, fleet managers can proactively manage updates, phase out unsupported hardware, and maintain optimal performance. View Mobile Devices Report
To view the Mobile Devices Report,
- In the left-hand navigation, select the "Analytics ” service module.
- In the top navigation, select "Reports."
- In the left-hand panel, select "Mobile Devices Report" report under the "Other" category.
Available Filters
On the right-hand side of the report, filters are available.
- Date Range: Determines which login records appear in the report
- Branches: Filters devices based on the branches associated with the operators who used them
- Tags: Filters devices based on the tags of the operators who logged in
- Operators: Filters devices based on the operators who used them during the selected time period
- OS Support Status: Filters devices based on whether their operating system is "Supported" or "Unsupported"
- App Version: Filters devices based on the version of the In The Field app used during login
Available Data
Select the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner to view all data columns. Select and checkmark a column to display it within the report.
Available data columns include:
- Device: Displays the brand and model of the logged-in device (e.g., iPhone 12)
- Operator: Displays the operators who used the device and app version during the selected time period
- ITF App Version: Indicates the version of the In The Field application used on the device (e.g., 3.1.7)
- OS: Specifies the operating system of the device (e.g., iOS)
- OS Version: Displays the version of the operating system used at login (e.g., 16.7.10)
- OS Support Status: Indicates whether the device's operating system is supported or unsupported (e.g., "Unsupported")
- Last Log In: Shows the date and time of the most recent login recorded for the device and app version
- Branches: Lists the branches associated with the operators who logged into the device
Understanding the Report
As a fleet leader, use the Mobile Devices Report to proactively manage device compatibility and ensure a seamless user experience. Follow these steps to take action:
- Monitor Device Compatibility: Regularly check for unsupported operating systems and outdated app versions using the available filters.
- Analyze Trends: Use date range, branch, and tag filters to identify patterns in device usage and potential compliance issues.
- Coordinate with IT for Updates: If using company-issued devices, work with IT to schedule necessary software updates or hardware replacements.
- Communicate App & OS Requirements: Inform operators that if they use personal devices, they may experience performance issues or limited functionality if their OS or app version is outdated. Encourage them to update their devices for the best experience.
