Within the Silent Passenger application, users are able to send out one-way messages to their operators, either to a single operator or a group of operators at a time. These messages can be used for sending out company notifications, job-related notices or any other organization functions where notifying the operators are a must.
Sending a Message
- Within IntelliShift, click the Silent Passenger Application.
- Within Silent Passenger, click Tools from the Top Menu
- Within the Tools Menu click "Send Driver a Text Message"
- Within the Send Driver a Text Message screen, on the left side of the screen it will contain all of the drivers with phone numbers assigned to their profile(Click here to learn how to add driver phone numbers to their profile) In the middle of the screen it will allow user to send a text message by manually entering a phone number and choosing the drivers carrier.
- Once a number is entered or driver(s) is selected the message field will appear on the screen, which will allow the user to enter a message up to 200 characters.
- Once ready to send it will send a one-way message out to the selected numbers by clicking Send.
Viewing History
- Within IntelliShift, click the Silent Passenger Application.
- Within Silent Passenger, click Tools from the Top Menu
- Within the Tools Menu click "Send Driver a Text Message"
- Within the Send Driver a Text Message screen, there will be to tabs that users can toggle between "Send" & "History"
- Within the History tab, it will display all of the messages that were sent
- Time Stamp - Contains the Date & Time that the message was Sent
- Driver - This will display the driver's name that the message was sent to
- Phone Number - This displays the phone number that the message was sent to
- Cellular Carrier - Provided description of the phone carrier
- Sent To - Provides an SMS address that the message had been sent to.
- Message - It contains the details of the message that was sent to the operator.
- Sent By - Provides the Name and Email of the user that had sent the message.
