Tags Overview:
Tags is a feature to the IntelliShift platform which allows users with the appropriate permissions the ability to assign Assets & Operators to groups outside of their business Hierarchy. This allows Assets or Operators to be assigned to various Groups rather than just living within a single branch within the Hierarchy. By Assigning Tags to Assets or Operators it will allow users to display the Assets / Operators that reside within that Tag on a Map View, Fleet Status as well as On-Demand Reports.
Examples:
- Assigning your Assets with a Category to classify them by Asset Type
- This allows Filtering on the map and reporting metrics by Asset Type as well as by Branch.
- Assigning your Operators with specific qualifications
- This allows a user to filter the map from a dispatching perspective to display all working operators on the map, that meets the qualifications to be dispatched out to an emergency job site in order to complete the work at hand.

Security Permissions for Tags
Users of Any User Type can be provided access to the Global Settings App within the IntelliShift Platform, which is where users will be able to access the Tag Management & Company Pin
User Types: Regular User, Administrator, Account Administrator
User Permission: Global Settings
Assigning existing Users the Global Settings Permission:
- Within IntelliShift, Click Administration
- Within Administration, go to the Users Tab,
- Select the User from within the list and click Edit
- Within the Edit screen, scroll through the list of Permissions
- Toggle on the setting “Global Settings”
- Click Save
Creating Tags:
Creating Tags within the IntelliShift Platform get completed within the IntelliShift platform under the App, Global Settings. Within Global Settings, there will be 2 tabs, such as Company Settings and Tag Management.
- Log into the IntelliShift platform.
- From the left navigation menu, click Global Settings
- Within the Global Settings page, from the top menu click Tag Management
- Within Tag Management, Click Add Tag
- Within Add Tag
- Name the Tag Label
- Select Parent Tag to have the newly created tag nest within an existing structure
- Add notes to describe the tag
- Click Create.
Assigning Assets to Tags
- Log into the IntelliShift Platform
- From the left navigation menu, click Global Settings
- Within the Global Settings page, from the top menu click Tag Management
- Within Tag Management Select the Tag you want to assign assets to.
- Within the Right side of the page Assets already assigned to the tag will be displayed. Click Add Assets
- Within the Add Assets Screen, Search or Scroll the list of assets, Select the Asset and click the Right arrow to assign them to the Assigned Assets List.
By holding down the CTRL key multiple assets can be selected at a time. By Selecting the first asset and then holding down the shift key, and selecting the next asset all assets in between will be selected.
Assigning Operators to Tags
- Log into the IntelliShift Platform
- From the left navigation menu, click Global Settings
- Within the Global Settings page, from the top menu click Tag Management
- Within Tag Management Select the Tag you want to assign assets to.
- Within the Right side of the page Assets already assigned to the tag will be displayed. At the bottom of the page, select the Operators Accordion to display Assigned Operators. Click Add Operators
- Within the Add Operator Screen, Search or Scroll the list of assets, Select the Operator and click the Right arrow to assign them to the Assigned Operator List.
By holding down the CTRL key multiple operators can be selected at a time. By Selecting the first operator and then holding down the shift key, and selecting the next operator all operators in between will be selected.
Filtering the Map by Tags
Filtering the Map by Tags allows organizations the ability to leverage greater control of what Assets or Operators to see on the Map. Tags can play a role in filter layers where you can apply specific tags to Map View Tiles, as well as features such as the Address Lookup where users will be provided the ability to see the closest assets to the desired destination.
- Within the IntelliShift Platform click the Silent Passenger App.
- From the Top Navigation Menu, click Map View
- Within Map View, click Menu
- Within Menu, go to Filter Lays and select Tags
- Tags will display all of the created Tags, select the tags you want to have displayed within the Map
** It is important to remember that when displaying tags that are assigned to operators, it will display the name of the assets where those defined operators are assigned to the Assets.
Filtering Quick Zoom by Tags
- Within the Silent Passenger App click Quick Zoom from the Top Right-hand corner
- Within Quick Zoom drop down the list labeled as Search By
- Within the list select Tags.
- You will be provided with all available Tags, Select the tags you want to display.
- This will Filter Quick zoom to only display those Assets as well as the Map View.
Filtering Reports By Tags
Filtering Reports by Tags is currently supported within OnDemand Web Reports, which allows users of the IntelliShift platform display assets within the selected tags.
- Within the Silent Passenger App of the IntelliShift Platform, Click Reports on the Top Navigation Menu, select On-Demand Reports
- Select the report you are looking to generate
- On the Orange Bar above the listed Assets select the Tag Drop Down
- Select the tags which you would like to Display.
- Once the tags have been selected the Assets would be returned, where the user can click Select individual assets or Select All to select all assets within those tags.
