IntelliShift/Ford Collaboration
- IntelliShift has collaborated with Ford Commercial Solutions of Ford Motor Company. IntelliShift and Ford are going to issue a joint press release on February 25, 2021.
- This collaboration enables the IntelliShift platform to ingest manufacturer-grade telematics information from the Ford Data Services platform.
- The telematics information is available on select 2018-2019 Ford vehicles, and all 2020+ Ford vehicles.
Base Solution (Beta)
- The solution leverages the OEM Ford Telematics hardware embedded in the Ford vehicles to provide real-time location and engine status information on the IntelliShift web application in the Silent Passenger telematics module and mobile applications. Users will also be able to set up the standard Silent Passenger real-time alerts and view historical reporting using the existing Silent Passenger reporting and Route playback modules.
Benefit
Its use case focuses on new vehicles that are incrementally added to your existing fleet. The solution does not require any on-vehicle hardware installation (including IntelliShift hardware). If you are augmenting your fleets with new Ford vehicles in 2021 and beyond the solution, you will gain the convenience of eliminating the installation process and a more streamlined onboarding process onto the IntelliShift platform. This translates to no installation downtime and reduction of your timeline for adding new Ford assets to the IntelliShift platform down to 1-2 days.

- Afterward, you will need to create a Ford Fleet Account to obtain a Ford Fleet Identification Number (FIN).
- Then you will email this information to OEMTelematics@IntelliShift.com with a list of VINs that are on your Ford Fleet account for IntelliShift to confirm eligibility for the Ford Telematics solution:

- Once IntelliShift confirms your eligibility with Ford, a work order would be sent to you to contract for the new service.
- Once completed, you will receive instructions on how to log into their Ford Fleet portal to “enroll” your VINs for the Ford Telematics solution.
- Once enrolled on the Ford web portal, the vehicles’ ignition must be turned on to complete the enrollment activation process.
- Once that is complete, the IntelliShift platform will start receiving telematics information within 24-48 hours.
