Overview: AI Video provides the ability for an enhanced video experience provided by IntelliShift's In Cab video solution. This provides the capability to include Driver Distraction Features, Forward Collision Warnings as well as 360 degree Video. AI Video is the ability to provide a better Company Safety experience by providing in cab verbal coaching, and visibility to Safety members to coach operators on the exceptions with the goal to Drive Safety within the organization.

Types of Video Events Captured:
- Hard Braking- The Asset had stopped at a rate of speed in which was classified as excessive.
- Rapid Acceleration- The Asset's rate of speed increasing was greater which was classified as excessive.
- Harsh Turning- The Asset had made a left or right turn in which the speed and radius of the turn was classified as excessive.
- Following Distance Warning- The Asset's Speed and Distance to the asset in front of them does not provide the operator with enough stopping time(Reaction + Braking Distance).
- Forward Collision Warning- There is an object in front of the asset in which the asset is moving towards in which the distance between the asset in object is at a high risk of an accident if the object we to stop.
- Driver Distracted- The Operator is not paying attention to the road.
- Inattentive Driving- The Operator is not paying attention to the road.
- Cell Phone Use- The Operator is engaging in taking on their phone, rather then a hands free device.
- Fatigued Driver- The Driver has been detected to be yawning, and closing their eyes in which classifies as an unsafe driving behavior.
What Happens when an Event is Captured?
- The Operator will receive a verbal notification via a voice command of what exception had been captured.
- Example: "Following to Close", "Driver Distracted"
- For Visual notifications, operators will be provided with strategic display of data to their Heads up Display.
- Such as Reaction Time, Objects Ahead, as well as driver feedback notifications.
- The video event will be automatically brought into the IntelliShift Platform.
Receiving Email and Text Notifications as soon as soon as an Event Happens
Within IntelliShift, under the Silent Passenger App users can create an alert to be delivered to them in real-time as soon as an event was created within AI Video.
- Log Into the IntelliShift Platform
- Click the Silent Passenger App from the Left Navigation Menu
- Within Silent Passenger click Alerts from the Menu. Within the Alerts Menu, Click Ai Video Event Alert.
- You will be brought through the 4 step process of creating alerts.
- Step 1 - Select your Assets(Only Assets equipped with Dash Cams will be listed here)
- Step 2 - Choose the ate & Times that you want to have the alert monitored
- Step 3 - Name the Event and select which events you want to receive notifications for.
- Step 4 - Set up to receive notifications via Email to Text Message.
Ai Video Dashboard
IntelliShift's Ai Video Dashboard provides users with the ability to access historical trending KPI's related to events driven through the Ai Video Gateway
Accessing Ai Video Dashboard
- Log in to IntelliShift
- From the Left Navigation Menu, Click Ai Video
- Within Ai Video you will be brought to the Dashboard
Dashboard Details
Ai Video Dashboard will provide users with 3 widgets for data around their events captured through Ai Video Gateway
- Ai Video Events By Type: This pie graph displays a breakdown of the percentage of the events by the type of event triggered.
- Ai Video Events By Status: The Bar Graph provides visibility to the users with the ability to see of the events that have come in the quantity of which are new, coaching needed, coached, or no coaching is needed.
- Ai Video Event Trend: The Stacked Bar Graph provides the users with the ability to see a trend of events by type over the selected date range.
Dashboard Filter Options
- Branches: Allows the user to filter the dashboard to 1 or more branches.
- Tags: Allows the user to filter the dashboard to 1 or more tags.
- Date Range: Allows the user to look at the events over the last Today, Yesterday, Last Week, Last Month, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last Quarter.
- By Default, the dashboard will display the last 7 days.
- Asset Name: Users can type in an asset name and select an asset from the list to filter events to a specific vehicle
Viewing Events Within the IntelliShift Platform
Accessing AI Video Events
- Log Into the IntelliShift Platform
- From the Left Navigation Menu, Click AI Video
- Within AI Video, click Events from the Top Menu
- Within Events, users will be directed to the Ai Video Card View Layout
Supported Page Layouts
Card View Layout(Default)
List View
- Filtering Controls
- Asset Name - Provides the user the ability to filter events to a singular Asset Name
- Operator Name - Provides the user the ability to filter events to a singular Operator
- Status - Provides the user the ability to filter Video events between 2 statuses
- New - A New Status, is new event brought into IntelliShift
- Coaching Needed - An event has been marked as further coaching needed.
- Coached - An Event that has been reviewed by a manager and the operator together
- No Coaching Needed - This event has been classified as the operator has done everything expected on them for the event, it was not something they could have avoided.
- Event - Provides the user the ability to filter the list of Events by Event Name, gives the user the ability to target a set of event Event Types (As described above)
- Period - Provides the ability for the user to filter the date range of which events to display
On Demand Video Request

- Provides the user with the ability to pull up to a video clip into the IntelliShift Platform. (Please note, only events still stored on the internal storage of the camera will be able to be retrieved)
- Users will select which asset to pull the request for.
- Enter a Custom Event Name
- Select the Specific Date & Time (Please note that the request will pull half of the video prior to the request time and the rest will be after the requested time.)
- Use the slider to select the duration of Video (Video lengths will default to 1 minute.)
- Notify - Users can receive an email notification as soon as video is available within IntelliShift
- Provides the user with the ability to pull up to a video clip into the IntelliShift Platform. (Please note, only events still stored on the internal storage of the camera will be able to be retrieved)

Download Events
Within List View or Card View, users can download the list of recorded events to a CSV file. This provides the user with the ability to see All of the events that have triggered within the period filtered.
The download will provide the user with access to, Asset Name, Operator Name, Event Type, Coaching Status, Date Reported, Date of Last Activity.
Viewing Video in Card View
- Log Into the IntelliShift Platform
- From the Left Navigation Menu, Click AI Video
- Within AI Video, click Events from the Top Menu
- Within Events, users will be directed to the Ai Video Card View Layout
- You will be presented with the events for all assets(Permission based) over the last 7 days
Functions of Card View
Card View within Ai Video delivers an optimized experienced for users who are looking for the most efficient way to review events, update their status, and coach effectively. User within Card View are given quick access to play video, download video and coach events. Card view provides the users with the important view based on the type of the event.
- Playing Video -
- Hover over the video- The video will play as a gif. If you move your mouse off the video will stop playing.
- Click The Video- The Video channel will open as a popup on the screen allowing the user to have full access to the play functions, as well as a full screen function.
- Updating Coaching Status -
- Click on the Current Status Button, users will be provided with the ability to change the status, as well as add coaching notes to the event. Click Save to update the coaching status
- Accessing the Event Details -
- Click the Arrow
below the status button to access the full event details.

Viewing Video in List View
- Log Into the IntelliShift Platform.
- Click AI Video from the App Navigation Menu.
- Select the View Details Button
on the Video you want to view.
- Users will be brought to the Event Details Page.
Event Details
- Within the Event Details Page, Users will be provided with the ability to see the following Information:
- Asset Name
- Branch
- Date & Time of the Reported Incident
- Severity
- Last Activity
- Users will then be able to click the Switch Status, to update the status from a "New" Event to an event that was "Coached".
- Before being able to switch the status from New to Coached, the user is required to watch the Full Video.
- Users can play the video views back in real time.
- Below the video, if Audio Recording is on for the asset, users can control the Sound of the video
- For Video Events that need to be downloaded, users can click the download button which will download the video files to a .mp4 file.
- The Activity window within the Event Details page, provides users with the ability to track the status of each particular event. The Activity Window will log the following:
- Status Changes
- Coaching Comments
- Video Download
- Under the Video for each event will be a mini map contain the location where the event had taken place as well as Accelerometer & Speed Data.
Coaching Operators
Coaching Operators within AI Video Providers Supervisors, Managers and Executives the ability to Monitor which events had been coached on, and what measures were taken to help achieve safer operations.
Tracking the Status of Coaching
- Within the Events Page of the AI Video App, Users can utilize the "Status" filter to show all events within the reported period by asset, of the specific Status.
- When clicking into the specific Event, Users can adjust the Status of the Event to mark the item as Coached.
- When viewing a detailed event, users will be able to utilize the Activity Window to log all coaching notes for that particular event.
